Christians Against Poverty
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a national charity that was founded by John Kirkby. It offers a free debt counselling service with the aim of lifting people out of debt and poverty. The headquarters are based in Bradford.
The Reading Debt Centre has been open since 2009 and is based at Reading Community Church. It covers those living in the post code areas to the West of Reading. The Centre Manager, who is a trained debt coach, runs the service and is supported by several volunteers.
